Bryan Romero, a senior at Schuyler High School, committed to the University of Jamestown in North Dakota on March 1st, 2022. This signing was held at SCHS. Bryan’s scholarship will be for football and wrestling. He played football all 4 years and wrestled for two at SCHS. His senior year, he wrestled at 279 lb. His football positions were defensive tackle, offensive tackle and kicker. He plans to major in Business Management. 

The University of Jamestown is a small institution with an enrollment of 887 undergraduate students. It also has an acceptance rate of 72% with the division NAIA. The NAIA division is a smaller division than the NCAA. This division can be considered as a division 2 or division 3 school. Jamestown is a town with a population of 15,289. Jamestown is where the American writer Louis L’Amour was born. The University of Jamestown is a private christian university that provides education and programs for every kind of major. Other offers he had besides Jamestown were Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. “I was shocked that I got an offer but I was laughing hysterically when I got the phone call” shared Bryan. He most looks forward to playing football and wrestling for the university.
