Nalleli Ajualip, a senior at Schuyler Central High School, has signed a letter of intent with Central Community College to play basketball for them. Nalleli has been playing basketball since she was in the first grade. Nalleli has been interested in basketball since she was small. She would watch Stephen Curry, a professional basketball player who plays for the Golden State Warriors. Nalleli shows that her strengths are “shooting and defending; some weaknesses would be dribbling left and shooting with my left hand.”
Nalleli will be the first person in her family to go to college. Nalleli will be receiving a scholarship to CCC in addition to playing basketball for them. Nalleli is hoping to graduate with a Criminal Justice Degree. She hopes to be a police officer or lawyer. Nalleli explained that what helped her earn the spot on the CCC team was “working hard all the time and playing well.” Advice Nalleli would tell someone who would like to play at the college level, would be “to never give up and to try hard even though there are haters.”
