Folda to join CCC first female soccer team
SCHS Senior, Reagan Folda signed on to play soccer next year at Central Community College in Columbus Nebraska. She is going to receive a scholarship for playing soccer at CCC. She wants to go to CCC, because this is the first time they are having a women soccer team. Folda is really excited to be a part of the first women’s soccer team at CCC. The CCC coach will be the coach that coached her in middle school. “He is a really good coach,” Folda said.
She plans on getting her Associate of Arts Degree at CCC and then transfer to Wayne State College to complete her major by getting a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education. Folda attributes her success in soccer to all of her hard work, dedication, and time. Folda has been a 3 sport athlete every year of her high school career. She has played soccer since she was 4, basketball since third grade, and volleyball since she was she was in fourth grade. Her role models are her sisters, because they played soccer in college which inspired her to do the same. “They are always supportive of me and push me to do my best,” Folda said.
Ketsia Dimpolo is a junior and this is her second year as a Staff Reporter. She enjoys writing and spending time with friends.
