Free Throws earn Scholarship
Tasha Wolken, a senior at Schuyler Central High School, received an athletic scholarship from SouthEast Community College. In the Fall, at Southeast Community College, Wolken will play basketball. She attributes getting the scholarship to the fact that she is good at free throws and three throws.
Wolken has been an athlete for 3 years and started playing basketball when she was a junior. In high school, Wolken played volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. As a sophomore, Wolken played volleyball and she tore her ACL. After graduating from high school, Wolken is going to Southeast Community college, because she wants to get a Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Wolkens role model is Allie Millard.
He is a sophomore and it’s his first time as a staff reporter for the Warrior News. He plays plays soccer with his friends at the park.
