On Thursday February 28th,  Schuyler High School Team won the KTCH Radio Quiz Bowl competition. The Schuyler High School team competed against sixty-one other teams over the past two months. Schuyler team consisted of; Connor Bywater, Preston Anderson, and Pietro Caliagana. John Sayer, Chemistry Teacher, was the coach for the Schuyler team.  The students will receive medals and Schuyler High School will receive a trophy. Schuyler High School has been competing in the annual KTCH Radio Quiz Bowl for five years. The Radio Quiz Bowl is hosted by KTCH in Westpoint, Nebraska.

“I ask other teachers who they think are knowledgeable in all subjects and go with 3 seniors.” explained Mr. Sayer . The students who participate are questioned about  Math, Science, History, English, and other topics. KTCH Radio Quiz Bowl gets schools from around the area to participate in a 3 question match between two schools. In the past, KTCH Radio Quiz Bowl winners received Subway gift cards as prizes. This year the students will receive a cash prize.
