At Schuyler Central High School the Family Career and Community Leaders of America members had a bake sale to raise money for Jason Friesen. Jason Friesen is a Social Studies teacher at SCHS. Friesen has been battling cancer since Christmas break. FCCLA raised approximately $450 at the bake sale they held during Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, March 12th. According to Jared Severson, FCCLA sponsor, “The donations were given to show him support as a Schuyler Warrior.” Freshman, Jeremy Jones, was one student that was very involved in this project. Jeremy Jones was there the entire day selling cakes. Two FCCLA students baked four cakes that were donated to the bake sale. Other people from school and the community also donated cakes to be sold.
