Smith to Speak at the 5th Tech Fair

Motivational speaker, Mike Smith, will be the keynote speaker for this years Warrior Tech Fair.

For the fifth, Schuyler Central High School and other schools in the area, have the opportunity to interact with different colleges and participate in a variety of activities involving technology. Thanks to our Tech Department, they set up one of the most interesting and fun days for the students to enjoy, the Warrior Tech fair. “We have new topics for breakout sessions, new vendors, and new local businesses and colleges participating each year!” Jeff Droge ,Schuyler Community Schools Technology Director, commented. 

Our keynote speaker for the breakout session this year will be Mike Smith. Mr. Droge mentioned that he and some of the other teachers had the opportunity to listen to Mike Smith at the Nebraska Education Technology Association Conference this past March at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. “We knew immediately after hearing him speak we needed to book him for our Warrior Tech Fair.” Mr. Droge also added, “we believe our students will truly enjoy his message! He speaks to youth all over the country with the message on how to be better human beings.”

The annual Warrior Tech Fair this year will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at SCHS. The Warrior Tech Fair will begin at 8:00 am and end at approx. 3:15 pm. Mr. Droge also shared that “we are also going to host guest students from Cross County, Leigh, and Shelby-Rising City! A sack lunch will be available for all students at regular school lunch prices. There will be more information in the near future in the Schuyler Central High School website regarding the schedule and prizes.
