SCHS boys started with a total of 41 players, a combination of new and returning players. There are 4 coaches for this year’s soccer team. Leading the team are head coach Lyndon Beebe, assistant coach Greg. Hansen, assistant coach Logan Paben, and Jose Salinas, who is the manager and co-owner of the Schuyler Burrito House. 

Soccer player Victor Alonzo, who is a junior and the captain for the boys soccer team, has been playing soccer for about 7 years. As an athlete, Victor has strengths and weaknesses to improve on. His interest in playing soccer started when he saw other players and got into it and he liked playing. Victor’s strengths regarding soccer are “on my passes and shooting.” Victor is trying to get better at calling out his teammate’s names. Victor’s favorite part about soccer is “just playing out on the field and having fun.” This year’s boys soccer team has started off with seven games and has won three of them so far this season.
