Schuyler Community Schools, Dr. Dan Hoesing has resigned this year as the superintendent. The SCS School Board has hired a superintendent for the 2023-24 school year. The position was given to Dr. Bret Schroeder on February 23, 2023. The SCS School Board voted unanimously to offer the position to Dr. Schroeder and he accepted.

Dr. Schroder is currently the superintendent for the Elm Creek Public School district. Dr. Shroeder was also a Curriculum Director at Crete Public Schools.  Dr. Schroder assisted in new construction at Elm Creek and Crete.
