“This is the most individual track State qualifiers we have had in the 17 years I have been here,” explained Boys Track Head Coach Rick Carter. This year State Track will take place at Omaha Burke on Wednesday, May 17th. This year at Schuyler Central High School, we have five State Track qualifiers. The 2023 Track State Qualifiers are: Natalie Yrkoski 12, Nick Hernandez 11, Austin McCullough 12, Julian Morales 12, and Gavin Bywater 12. They all qualified for different events at Districts; Natalie Yrkoski qualified for Long Jump for 15-11.75, Nick Hernandez for Discuss at 149’11, Austin McCullough for Pole Vault at 13’0, Julian Morales for Triple Jump at 41′, and Gavin Bywater for the 400 meter at 52 ’57. Districts was held at Boone Central Tuesday, May 2nd.
