Warriors give it their All

This year Schuyler Central High School sports will kick off the football season with a new head coach. This years head football coach is Jason Ankrah. Jason Ankrah has played football for twelve years and started playing in the ninth grade. He has also played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. 

“It feels amazing to be a Schuyler football coach this year and has been a very fun experience so far” Coach Ankrah stated. When asked about the players strengths Coach Ankrah remarked that, “They want to get better and will do anything that is asked of them.” As for his plans for the upcoming season Coach Ankrah said, “One of my goals is to make a difference in these young men’s lives and while doing that get them to love playing football again.”

Senior, Elmer Salazar is playing this year for the Warriors football team. The positions Salazar is playing are slot receiver, running back and safety. “My goal this year is to be better together as a team and to do better than what I had done years before so we can succeed this year. This year it feels like there is  a lot more conditioning and a lot more talk as a team” remarked Salazar.
