Spirit Week and Homecoming 2023 was held on October 2-6. For the 2023 Warriors Spirit Week, the students had several opportunities to participate in activities. For example, Monday was famous duo/twin day, on Tuesday students and staff dressed as different Taylor Swift Eras, Wednesday’s theme was Barbie/Ken, and some teachers had handed out pink necklaces for the students to wear. There was also the Barbie pink photo booth in the Commons loaned to SCHS by Rocha Designs. On Thursday, the theme was country vs country club. The teachers and the students dressed up as golfers or they could dress up as a cowboy or farmer. On Friday, the theme was Warrior Pride in which  students and teachers wore green and showed their Warrior Pride. Each class made a banner with paint and a bed sheet for the staff and students voted which banner they had liked the most. The winner announced at the Pep Rally on Friday was the junior class. The high school and middle school students joined in the west gym for the Pep Rally that the dance team and cheerleaders put together. The cheerleaders had special dances with the staff that they performed. Cheerleaders paired with a teacher and danced together with a song of their choice. During the week, there was  Focus competitions and they had to go head to head against in a tug of war all school competition.The final Focus classes were Mr. Keairnes, Mr. Harper, Mr. Blaser, and Mrs. Eloge. In the end, it came down to two teams, Mr. Keairnes and Mr. Harper. Mr. Harper’s Focus class dressed in homemade uniforms, won, and took the trophy.During the week, the students voted for who they wanted as Homecoming King and Queen. The candidates for Homecoming King were; Giovanni Martinez, Alexander Ovando, Joel Medina, Wyatt Kluck, and Jonathan Martinez. The candidates for Queen were; Ghislane Rodriguez, Yessica Garcia, Gina Alba, Hope Borman, and Natalie Espiritu. At 6 p.m. Friday evening, the football team played against the Arlington Eagles. Schuyler won 21-12. Schuyler led strong in the second quarter with 14 points with 2 touchdowns and 2 kicks in the third quarter. Arlington scored 12 points with 2 touchdowns, but Schuyler scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter of the game with one touchdown and a kick leading them 21-12 .During the coronation ceremony after the football game, the Homecoming King crowned  was Jonathan Martinez and the Homecoming Queen crowned was Hope Borman. The homecoming dance was held in the east gym with decorations outside of the gym, flashing lights, and a dj. The dance theme was “Tangle”. The Homecoming Queen Hope Borman shared “I felt a lot of joy, being Homecoming Queen was always something I’ve dreamt of being ever since I was little.”
