The Schuyler community organizes a Trunk or Treat for the children and families in the community. The Trunk or Treat is a way the Schuyler community comes together with their families, dressed up in their Halloween costumes, and go around to the different businesses stands and receive their halloween candy. The Schuyler Chamber of Commerce and the Warrior Academy are in charge of the Trunk or Treat. This was their fifth year of organizing the Trunk or Treat.
There were approximately forty Schuyler businesses who had to register in order to participate in the Trunk or Treat. “They design and create their own idea for a fun trunk for the kids and families to enjoy,” explained Audra Jedlicka, Schuyler’s Executive Director of Chamber of Commerce. Audra went on to share that her favorite part is “seeing all of the kiddos laughing and enjoying the decorations and costumes that the businesses have worked so hard to put together for them.” There were over 700 kids who attended the Trunk or Treat this year.
