Meet Jose Correa from Colombia.

Edgar Herrera, Staff Reporter

To share our SCHS cultural diversity with our readers, Warrior News staff reporters are introducing our students and sharing their stories from their native countries to Schuyler, Nebraska.

Schuyler Central High School student, Jose Correa is originally from Guatape, Antioquia in Colombia. His favorite food from Colombia was bandeja paisa. It is a typical food in Colombia. His Father was from Cuba and moved to Florida to work. In 2012, his mother went to join his father in Florida. When his mom left, Jose lived with his grandparents in Colombia for five years. In 2017, he joined his parents in Florida. His family then decided to move to Schuyler, Nebraska, because his parents thought they could make more money here.

Jose attends Schuyler Central High School. He likes the facilities, the classes, and every other thing about it. Jose’s opinion of the teachers here in Schuyler is that they are more kind than the teachers  in Colombia. After graduating high school, he wants to attend college in New York. In Schuyler, Jose really likes the park and downtown. Jose is a really outgoing person and makes friends quickly.
