Senior View of Second Quarter
It is the second quarter of senior year and it is time to order our cap and gowns. They are usually ordered at the end of October, but this year they will be ordered in the month of November. This means that the seniors are one step closer to graduating. Many seniors are taking senior pictures in this beautiful fall weather as well. They have received their senior banners already and they are hung up in the gym for everyone to view.
October 30th and November 1st all Schuyler Central High School seniors were required to apply to one college. Once seniors had finished their application they received a treat bag, a halloween cupcake and had their picture taken. Seniors had a meeting in the gym discussing the FAFSA. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. They were given tips and tricks on filling out the forms. On October 1st the FAFSA was open for applications.
According to Nayeli Cruz, the first quarter went fast. Time is flying by for seniors and school just started. Nayeli Cruz hopes to go to the University of Nebraska at Kearney to study communication disorders. A lot of seniors already know where they will be going and what they will be studying, but are they absolutely sure they will stick to it? There are other students who don’t plan on going to college. They plan on going straight to work to make money. For those who don’t know what they will be doing after high school should start to figure it out as graduation is getting closer and closer.
