The Art Club kicked off the 2020-23 school year with their annual Arts in the park. The Art Club currently has 32 members. This year the Art club is planning to go on a field trip in the springtime to Columbus. At the end of the year they are going to the Old Market art galleries. The members of the Art club are making the decision on what they’re doing because, according to Art Club sponsor Deb Gonsor, “it’s their club”. Currently the Art Club members are making jewelry, doing artistic painting, and making Christmas ornaments made out of clay, learning about portrait photography and more during the school year.

The Art Club members decide what they want to do for activities throughout the year. Deb Gonsior has been the sponsor for the Art Club for over 16 years at Schuyler Central High School. She is also a para – educator for Schuyler Community Schools. “Art Club is important because it opens your mind which has to do with everything with life,” shared Deb Gonsior.
