New to Schuyler, Bank of the Valley, is starting construction of their new bank.

A new bank will be added to the Schuyler community. The new Bank of the Valley will be located to the north of the new Dairy Queen on Highway 15. The land has been claimed and construction will start in the spring of 2021. Marketing Director Dee Hanson stated that it should be completed in early 2022. The addition of this bank will be very beneficial to Schuyler. The bank will bring 7-10 different job opportunities to the community. Specific jobs that Banks of the Valley will be filling are account/tellers, loan officers, processors, and customer service specialists.  Bank of the Valley will be providing a full range of personal agriculture and business banking services. This will benefit the community for those that are with Bank of the Valley or those that may be interested in partnering with them. 

According to the Bank of the Valley press release,  Senior Executive Vice President John M DuBray III stated “We are excited for the opportunity to expand our footprint to the Schuyler Area, and for the chance to form a new and lasting partnership with the community.”   New businesses are expanding Schuyler and now a third bank is coming to town. Loan officer, Galen Kehrli explains that “The community of Schuyler has a rich agricultural history and a focus on growth that fits the culture of Bank of the Valley extremely well.” With the diversity and rich agricultural history, this will be possible for the Bank of the Valley to be constructed in Schuyler. Bank of the Valley started in 1984 Bellwood, Ne. Loan Officer Galen Kehrli remarked, “Our Bank’s roots run deep, and yet we remain passionate about expanding our reach and serving an even bigger and more diverse base of customers. We will always be the local Bank where you are treated like family, no matter what size we grow to be.” They currently have banks in Bellwood, David City, Columbus, Platte Center, Humphrey, and now Schuyler.
